BASIC INFORMATION
The Great Presenter is a workshop dedicated to improving presentation and teaching skills in the medical-scientific field.
The event lasts one full, intensive day, approximately from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and is available in two formats: the course format (Ultrateaching) and the workshop format (The Great Presenter).
Courses and workshops share several common features.
All participants receive a handout containing references and web resources for further study, along with a presentation evaluation form (a QR scanner app is required).
The event is conducted with deliberate lightness and informality. No prior knowledge is required, but participants should be willing to challenge themselves and engage with others. Cultural references are highly eclectic, ranging from Rubenson to the Beatles, from Led Zeppelin to Knowles, from Garr Reynolds to Coppola and Wagner. A little cheerfulness is not necessary, but it helps.
There is no formal assessment session.
COURSE FORMAT
The course is designed to allow the largest possible number of people to access presentation training (up to 30 participants).
With a strong focus on interactivity, it includes lectures, discussions, and two simulated presentations by the instructors.
The cost varies depending on the venue and the number of participants.
WORKSHOP FORMAT
Each participant is initially asked to present a scientific presentation previously delivered on another occasion, with a maximum duration of 12 minutes.
After lectures and paired revision work, participants will have the opportunity to present the same talk again, modified as they see fit.
Each participant must bring their own computer with presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote, LibreOffice, etc.) and a VGA/HDMI video adapter.
Pair work is intended to encourage interpersonal exchange and discussion.
To ensure quality, the workshop is limited to 6 participants.
The cost depends on the hosting venue (typically between €100 and €200 per person).
